Saturday Festival of Trees
The AHN Festival of Trees event for Saturday, Nov. 30 has been canceled, along with the Festival After Dark event. A decision regarding the Sunday, Dec. 1 event will be made by the morning.
expERIEnce Children’s Museum
The expERIEnce Children’s Museum has closed Saturday, Nov. 30, Sunday, Dec. 1 and Monday, Dec. 2 due to the weather. The museum plans to reopen with regular hours on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Behrend, Gannon, Mercyhurst cancel classes
Local universities have canceled classes for Monday and Tuesday in response to the storm. Penn State Behrend has canceled all classes until 5 a.m. Wednesday. Only employees perform an essential service should report before then. Additional details are available by visiting behrend.psu.edu/status.
Gannon University has canceled classes Monday and Tuesday and expects to resume classes Wednesday. The university will monitor campus and roadway conditions and update as necessary.
Mercyhurst University has closed their campus, and classes are canceled Monday and Tuesday. The university asks no one return to campus until conditions are safe and the campus re-opens.
Millcreek Mall is closed Saturday
The Millcreek Mall reported on its Facebook page that it is closed Saturday.
Mall officials had planned a delayed opening at noon. The shopping complex usually opens at 9 a.m.
Presque Isle Downs and Casino closes Saturday
Presque Isle Downs and Casino at 8199 Perry Highway, has closed for Saturday.
The casino will provide updates as to when it will reopen.
Erie County Public Library locations closed Saturday
All Erie County Public Library locations ― Blasco Library, Bookmobile, Edinboro Branch Library, Iroquois Branch Library, Lincoln Community Center Branch Library and Millcreek Branch Library ― are closed Saturday. Blasco Library has also canceled Sunday hours.
Some Allegheny Health Net locations closed
An Allegheny Health Net spokeswoman said AHN Express Care and an Urgent Care at AHN Health and Wellness Pavilion are closed Saturday because of the weather. Eastside locations are always closed on weekends.
