The state could see a coating to a few inches of snow this evening, according to the National Weather Service and Accuweather.
Snow will start after 5 p.m. on Sunday and will continue past midnight with temperatures in the 20’s according to the weather service. Accuweather is calling for a coating to two inches.
The National Weather Service said 1 to 3 inches of snow are possible with the chance of precipitation of 100 percent. The snow will fall mainly before 3 a.m.
Some towns already issued parking bans. Bloomfield’s ban begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday February 2, 2025, and will remain in effect through the day until Monday February 3, 2025, at 6 p.m., according to the town.
“During the snow emergency parking ban, parking on all streets is prohibited throughout the Town of Bloomfield. Vehicles left parked on any town roadway will be ticketed and subject to being towed.”
West Hartford’s parking ban will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, February 2, 2025, until further notice, according to the town.
Monday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 40 degrees. The high will be around 43 on a sunny Tuesday, according to forecasters. Tuesday will also be breezy with northwest winds 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph, according to the weather service.
The weather service is calling for likely snow again Wednesday night, mainly after 2 a.m. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent. On Thursday, snow is expected before 10 a.m. and then rain. There may be possible mix from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then rain likely after 1 p.m., according to the weather service.
Thursday night there is a 40 percent chance of rain before 2 a.m. Friday will be mostly sunny with a high of 41, according to the National Weather Service.
