Silent Hill 2 Remake has just been released. And right from the beginning of its launch, it has already started giving chills to everyone’s bones. This game is a remake of the OG game of 2001, originally developed by Team Silent, a group within Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo.
That game truly brought a revolution in the world of horror games. Despite being a 23-year-old game, the original game still gives chills to our bones with its terrifying and intimidating gameplay. The remake is looking to do the same, carrying the legacy of the OG game forward. After the release, fans are absolutely confident that the remake will go beyond the original titles, but it hasn’t forgotten its roots.
Silent Hill 2 Remake was launched yesterday. In just one day, it has made a statement that is going to take the franchise to newer heights. Now, there are many new aspects of the game, like improved visuals better Silent Hill aesthetics, and many more.
There even is an option to toggle off all the UI elements on the screen. However, despite these modernizations, the developers from the Bloober Team didn’t forget the pioneers of this horror franchise.
After you end the game, there are names of all the personnel behind the OG Silent Hill 2 game in the end credit of the remake version. From director Mahashi Tsuboyama to sound director Akira Yamaoka, everyone is there. And this gesture from the new game has won everyone’s hearts.
that’s so cool! should absolutely be the standard for remakes/remasters

That is why this fan thinks this is what every developing team of any remake version of any game should do to pay tribute to the teams behind the original game. Because that is where it all started. And this time, as the remake version is not made by the OG developers, Team Silent of Konami, this gesture from the Bloober Team hits home.
New players might get nightmares after entering Silent Hill because of its dreadful and horrific aesthetics. Players might opt to leave the town, but that’s not an option anymore once you have entered.
But if you still attempt to walk away from the town, at that certain moment, an invisible wall will pop up, which will prevent you from exiting the town. That wall will also award you with the “No Turning Back Now” achievement. After it, Sunderland will automatically turn around from that wall, making players face the inevitable Silent Hill town.
There is no way to escape the nightmares that await you in Silent Hill town, despite what the accomplishment title implies, and there is also no new hidden ending for trying to leave the village. Gamers will need to have the bravery to play the game in the traditional manner. And this is what it takes to witness the OG names on the end credit scene of the recently launched game.
