- Pokemon TCG Pocket is set to make some minor alterations to trading
- This comes after the hotly-anticipated feature was somewhat poorly received
- While not ideal it should at least make you more confident hopping into the new ex Drop Event!
For fans of Pokémon TCG Pocket, the hotly-anticipated trading feature has mostly been welcomed. But unfortunately, once it got into the hands of players it seems that some cracks with the new system (which has a bevvy of restrictions on who you can trade with, and what cards you can trade) have begun to show.
Fortunately, if you’re one of those players who’s been voicing their concerns over the past few days then you’ll be glad to know the folks behind TCG Pocket seem to have taken notice. They explained in a statement how the mechanics of trading were intended to protect against bots and other “prohibited actions”.
But, that doesn’t mean we can expect changes to be made anytime soon. Right now it’s just a statement, and the only solid alteration we can expect are new ways to acquire trading currency (a core part of the mechanic) which going forward should drop through a number of ways including event distribution.
Stating your case
While it’s better than nothing I’ve no doubt many of you are disappointed that there’s no firmer action being taken to resolve many fan’s concerns with trading. Given how crucial trading cards are in the physical TCG, and the difficulties of implementing that digitally, I think it’s fair to say that most of us were hoping for a more finely-tuned implementation from the get-go.
Still, it’s good to see that they’re listening, and with a new ex Drop Event underway featuring Cresselia, if you’ve been put off you can at least jump into this latest drop with a clear conscious.
