It’s been more than a month since the release of Path of Exile 2, and the game has managed to maintain a large player base, all thanks to a number of updates and constant communication from the development team at Grinding Gear Games.
Right from Path of Exile 2′s release, it’s been projected as a Diablo 4 killer. While the game does an incredible job and wrecks the Blizzard title in many ways, it still has a long way to go, as it doesn’t even have some of the basic accessibility features that Diablo 4 players love.
Let’s be honest here, Diablo 4 is one of the most complicated ARPG titles on the market. Seriously, it’s packed with a number of classes and systems, building diversity, and anyone can get puzzled or even lost while sitting in the game.
This is especially the case for low vision or blind gamers, who must have accessibility tools such as screen readers to help in their game. Fortunately, Blizzard has implemented a number of helpful features in Diablo 4 to meet the needs of gamers with vision impairments.
Massive respect to them for doing this

Gamers on Diablo 4‘s official subreddit have praised Blizzard’s decision to implement features such as audio navigation assist, audio cues for loot drop, and screen reader, proving that the company is truly ahead of the competition in some aspects at least.
Considering the fact that Blizzard is still supporting the game, we could see further improvements to the accessibility features.

It’s time for Grinding Gear Games to take note of these accessibility features and bring them to Path of Exile 2 as soon as possible. It’s disappointing to see that just because a few gamers have visual impairments, they can’t experience the fun this game brings to the table.
While Path of Exile 2 might be a hit, it has suffered from a massive data breach that has left the entire community in shambles and questioning Grinding Gear Games.
The developer’s official Path of Exile 2 forum was updated with a brand-new notice that there was a data breach on the week of January 6th. Apparently, an account with admin privileges to the website that a developer owned was compromised.
This led to the user gaining access to tools that are typically utilized by the game’s customer support team. Right after this situation unfolded, Grinding Gear Games locked out the account and pushed a forced password reset for all other admin accounts.
An investigation later revealed that the Path of Exile account that was sabotaged was linked to an old Steam account that was utilized for testing, and that gave the user all the information to hijack the account.
Even though the Steam account didn’t contain any personal information or purchases linked to the developer, access to the developer account meant that it could end up affecting other accounts through the developer portal.
It’s not just the accessibility features; Grinding Gear Games seriously needs to work on improving its security features as well; otherwise, gamers wouldn’t feel safe playing the title at all.
With that said, would you like to see accessibility features in Path of Exile 2? Let us know in the comments below.
