Along with PlayStation and Xbox, another console that has become a staple in the gaming industry is Nintendo. This Japanese company is again gearing up with the Switch 2, according to the rumors. The company will be focusing a lot on this console to carry forward the legacy of Nintendo Switch.
Switch has always been a breathing space of fresh air amidst the hype of PS5 and Xbox Series X. Although it’s not as powerful as those two, the kind of emotional bond it shares with the fans is quite unmistakable. These emotions would have been hurt if one credible rumor hadn’t come out.
Despite various rumors around the gaming fraternity, Nintendo is yet to launch its highly anticipated console, Switch 2. The company hasn’t even teased us with any hints. Seeing the scenario, there were a lot of specific rumors that surfaced, which stated we might have till the next year for Nintendo to reveal its new console.
These rumors actually disappointed many fans, as many thought we were going to see the new console this year. Even people who are spreading these rumors once claimed the console will be revealed this year. However, that is probably what is going to happen pretty soon.
Recently, a report from a credible source, PH Brazil, has come to light that claimed the highly awaited console is going to be released in the remaining part of 2024, thrashing all the previous rumors about potential delays.
Although the insider didn’t go much deeper about the announcement or didn’t make clear any exact dates, at least we have the potential confirmation the console is coming this year, maybe this month, November, or even December. Also, the recent stance of Nintendo staying away from using generative AI in game development gave us a hint about the Switch 2 release.
After this report from a credible source confirming Switch 2’s release this year, we now have even a bigger confirmation from Ruben Mercado, the CEO of a video games accessory company called Blade.
In a podcast for the Spanish website Vandal, he claimed that his company is making accessories for the upcoming console. He also stated that the console is “done” and “ready” and that his company has access to versions of the hardware that are nearly completely finalized.
However, all of these claims and rumors are just grains of sand, as there hasn’t been any official confirmation from the long-hailed Japanese company yet. We hope Nintendo works on their promises and people’s faith in them and surfaces the new console as soon as possible.
