- Netflix Stories is set to introduce two new series with Ginny & Georgia and Sweet Magnolias
- You’ll be able to play through original stories featuring characters from the series
- It represents another major Netflix original joining the Stories spin-off
Popular Netflix original series Ginny & Georgia and Sweet Magnolias are both set to receive the interactive fiction treatment and join the lineup of Netflix Stories. The two series will now be playable via Stories, allowing you to meet and interact with iconic characters from the two drama shows.
For those not aware, Netflix Stories is basically a catalogue of interactive fiction based on your favourite streaming shows. You’ll step into the shoes of original characters in various original visual novels set in the worlds of top shows like Emily in Paris and Outer Banks.
Ginny & Georgia and Sweet Magnolias are some of the more recent series to join Netflix Stories, coming this year. Not only that, but Netflix Stories: Love is Blind and Outer Banks will also be receiving brand new entries to their stories, so if you’re a fan you’ll get a chance to play through even more of these popular series!
Livin’ it large
I’m not surprised that Netflix Games are still pushing hard on Stories. Many of their individual series don’t necessarily fit into what you could gameify, so if they want to draw in viewers to try out their Games service then having some melodramatic interactive fiction is a good way to go about it.
I do think it’s somewhat of a shame that despite these new entries obviously being made to tie into new seasons of the aforementioned shows, it’s taken a few years to get there. You’d think that if these are made to tie in and cross-promote the shows they’d be on practically the same day.
