Marvel Rivals has literally brought a revolution in the multiplayer shooter genre. Despite belonging to this overcrowded sector, the game became an overnight blockbuster. Because of its massive and diverse roster consisting of 35 Marvel heroes and exciting team-based tactical gameplay, fans are absolutely in love with this game.
All the heroes in the game are scattered through three different categories: Vanguard, Duelist, and Strategist. Each of our favorite Marvel superheroes has distinctive abilities according to their categories. Still, fans want another feature in the game, which League of Legends has long abandoned.
In League of Legends, once there was a feature that used to grant the enemy team’s champions or minions a buff in order for you to choose a specific character to play. This buff benefitted almost all the attributes of that enemy team’s character, like health, mana, attack damage, and ability power.
However, initially, this feature was well received, but later on, fans started hating it, as sometimes the decision to play as a specific character used to backfire. This feature started buffing the enemy team to a greater extent, which was used to create a huge power gap between the two teams. As a consequence, Riot later on removed this feature.
For a game called marvel RIVALS I’m surprised we have teamup abilities but not bonuses for when a nemesis is on the enemy team

Now a dedicated Marvel Rivals fan has stated on Reddit that this enemy buffing feature should be added to this NetEase title. However, another fan has opposed this proposal in the comment section of the post, stating this feature will overcomplicate the game and will add to the pre-existing chaos.

Not only that, but this polarizing feature will also make the character-choosing process a lot more complicated. For example, you have to refrain from using your favorite hero, as it can in turn trigger a buff to one of the enemy team’s characters. On the other hand, you will have to play other heroes to get additional buffs because of the certain team combinations in the enemy team. So, NetEase should never add this feature to the game.
Despite the absence of the enemy character buffing feature, Marvel Rivals has team-up abilities to take on strong enemy characters. Character combinations like Captain America and Thor or Spider-Man, Venom, and Peni Parker are examples of Marvel Rivals Team-Ups, which are special abilities and powers—some passive, some not—that become active when they are on the same team. Utilizing the team-up abilities that are unique to these combinations is a significant aspect of Marvel Rivals‘ meta.
Marvel Rivals Team-Up abilities require careful consideration of your team’s composition. Although they are not necessary, they are free power that can be used to win games. This could be the difference between winning and losing if the opposing team uses Team-Ups a lot while you don’t.
However, matching the appropriate heroes will always benefit you if you’re doing it with a friend. It’s an excellent way to further increase the power of the best Marvel Rivals characters you’re playing. For example: there’s a Team-Up ability called Ammo Overload which you can execute by having Winter Soldier, The Punisher, and Rocket in your team.
Rocket’s invention greatly benefits Winter Soldier and The Punisher by eliminating the need for reloading. This greatly increases their already remarkable capacity for damage. This is a significant power boost, particularly when Rocket Raccoon uses it appropriately.
