This is a quick guide on how to beat Amalgams. The gaming community has been tormented by these powerful enemies, and it is time to end these abominations with the same level of aggression they have been giving. Fortunately, these things are not impenetrable to bullets and can be destroyed.
It is best to take shots and deal damage in vulnerable areas. Players should be quick on their feet to run or dodge and have sterile eyesight to hit the Amalgams in specific places that can hurt this monstrosity, allowing the player base to venture deeper into the Terminus map.
The game developers of Raven Software and Treyarch decided to up the stakes for this year’s Call of Duty by introducing a new zombie variant called the Amalgam. Even the most seasoned players in the Zombies game mode will likely be taken aback after their first encounter with this abomination and let their intrusive thoughts win by unloading everything they have into it.
At first glance, players will be tempted to shoot this creature wherever they can and with whatever they have on their loadout, which is the right mindset; however, they should save their ammunition and gain enough distance to hit the weak spots from a safer distance. For a creature of this size and magnitude, the Amalgam has a few exposed weak spots, like its glowing eyes.
Tip
Players can use Shadow Rift Ammo mods to inflict greater damage.
The Amalgam have a few extra limbs sprouting out of their bodies and are built like a tank. These things have a lengthy health bar with great defense from incoming damage for body shots; however, with a few concussion grenades to stun the Amalgam, players will have a short window to unload everything aimed at the glowing eyes.
The Amalgam can only be found on the Terminus map during the higher levels. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by hordes of the undead piling on a player and having to evade an elite variant like the Amalgam. This enemy can extend its limbs and pull targets toward them, and it is best to pack a few concussion grenades to stun it and nearby enemies.
Players will receive a few achievements and trophies for completing the Terminus map; however, trophy hunters will be left disappointed knowing the PlayStation 5 version of Black Ops 6 does not have a platinum trophy and is treated as a DLC for 2022’s Modern Warfare 2.
The Amalgam is an intimidating enemy with great speed, which is ironic for its size. Players should take advantage of their size and run laps around the behemoth and target the glowing eyes. After a few concussion grenades, the enemy will be dazed for a while, and players can blast the glowing eyeballs and watch the health bar drop.
