A 15-year-old boy has died after being stabbed at a school in Sheffield, police have said.
Officers were called to All Saints Catholic High School, on Granville Road in the city, at about 12:17 GMT.
South Yorkshire Police said a second teenager, also 15, had been arrested and remained in custody.
Assistant Ch Con Lindsey Butterfield told a press conference that the investigation was at an early stage and said officers remained at the scene to offer “reassurance to parents and residents”.
She said the victim had “suffered serious injuries” and despite the efforts of the emergency services had died a short time later.
