Assassin’s Creed Shadows has had a fair bit of delays, from being a November 2024 game to a February 2025 title to now slated for March. Game director Charles Benoit has given fans insight into why it delayed the game again.
Speaking to IGN, the roofs were giving it grief and the month is being spent polishing the parkour. Basically, no major overhauls happened, it was mostly smaller stuff, including polishing the parkour, some progression stuff to keep things engaging, and balancing.
“The Japanese architecture, the roofs [are] super complex. Probably the most complex thing that I ever worked with if we compared to Odyssey and Syndicate. We needed specific codes and specific animations to support something super fluid, changing the transition of the parkour to make it even more fluid. So that’s one of the specific feedback that we heard that we wanted to address, and it really improved since the last few months.”
We have a feeling the game will have more further delays, with its final release being in late March.
