Apple recently to settle a lawsuit that claimed some first generation, Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3 Apple Watches had battery swelling issues that could have caused damage to the devices. The company has denied any wrongdoing and in a statement to said it “strongly” disagrees with the claims made in the lawsuit, but nonetheless “agreed to settle to avoid further litigation.” The exact amount of the payments will depend on how many claimants ultimately end up being involved, but it’s expected to be between $20 to $50 per eligible device.
