The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office released the names of two people who died Monday in what Corpus Christi police believe was a murder-suicide in the Bay Area.
Police found the two people now identified as David Alexander, 60, and Karen Alexander, 62, had died inside of an apartment.
Officers responded at 5:08 p.m. Monday to a call of a shooting at the apartment complex in the 600 block of Glazebrook Street, according to a news release written by Corpus Christi Police Department senior officer Antonio Contreras.
David and Karen Alexander were married, and David Alexander was the gunman, senior officer Jennifer Collier told the Caller-Times. The weapon was located on the scene.
Police will continue investigating what led to the fatal shooting.
