NEW ALBANY, Ohio (WCMH) — An active shooter scene is being reported at a New Albany warehouse Tuesday night.
According to authorities, the shooting happened at the KDC/One building on the 8800 block of Smith Mill Road North at approximately 10:20 p.m. According to the New Albany Chamber of Commerce website, KDC/One manufactures cosmetics for LBrands stores.

Law enforcement officers said the scene was still very active and there is still a threat at the location. One suspect has been identified and is alive, but officials did not release that person’s name. A spokesperson at the scene said officers do not believe the suspect is still at the New Albany facility.
At least five victims have been taken to local hospitals. The extent of their injuries is not known.
A statement from New Albany police reads:
New Albany Police are responding to an active shooter situation at KDC/One. It is currently an active scene, and police are locking down the building. The suspect or suspects are unknown at this time. Residents should avoid the area. Anyone with information that can assist in the investigation should call NAPD at 614-855-1234
At least 20 people were escorted from one building at the scene to another.
Law enforcement officers with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, New Albany and Columbus police as well as the Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to the scene.
